Now that a large group of people are approaching the end of The God Project: A History, I’ve gotten quite a few questions about what will be in The God Project: Extras — Coming Nov. 15.

Well, I don’t want to give too much away (surprises and the like) but one of the major components is “The Diary of Jessica Miree” And here is an example —-

Have you ever been in love before? The only thing that isn’t perfect about it is those moments when you’re aware that everything is perfect. You look at the side of his chin when he’s staring away blissfully and you think “this is love.” And then you doubt. You wonder if you’re feeling it strong enough, if he feels love the same way you do… but those are trivial. What really gets to me is – can this last forever?

I don’t know if it ever can, not for me. And by coming here I have made it so I will never know. I know that didn’t have anything to do with my coming here, but how well do I know myself? How well can I know myself? Especially sitting here in an empty shell on a plate of ice floating through the ocean.

To everyone who came out for the release party. Got-Damn, that was a fun time. And as many of you suggested afterwards, we will most certainly be doing this again. Right now, our travels should take us to Westwood, NJ, Milwaukee, WI, Greenpoint, NY, Manhattan, NY amongst others. So stay tuned, we are just getting started!

And Remember: God Project: Extras come out in November, just a bit after most of you have finished reading the book, so stay tuned.

It really was a honor to play that show for you guys, and even more of an honor to drink your free shots!

The soundtrack is an exploration of our characters’ id in a more appropriate forum. The book is written as a history, and from the events that take place within, you will see why. But after writing it, I still had so much I wanted to say about what really drives them, and I was having a hard time simply writing it. So much of what drives us is little more than intonation, so much of what we do is based on a string of sounds that somehow moves us.

The God Project: A Soundtrack seeks to capture the rise and fall of our new prophets, and to help us understand why ego imperils us all, sentencing us to a lifetime of static, fading with a radio signal.

Hello everyone, the day is upon us! Well, at least for the centerpiece of The God Project. “A History” is now on sale as an ereader.

Also, LIKE us on Facebook for updates on the rest of the project, including “A Soundtrack” (Coming withing the next 24 hours) and a final version of our official website, www.godprojectextras.com

But most important of all, please spread the word. Our attempt to redefine what a “book” is in the modern era could not have come this far without you. But to take this all the way, we’ll need all your friends, too! I am a person who believes books can still be bigger sellers than television shows and movies. As the evolution of the web continues to fragment media audiences, the best way to create large audiences in the future will be multi-platform projects that spread the same message in a large number of forums.

The God Project is an important story. To me, personally, of course, but I believe it’s important for the greater world, as well. We tell this story in long-form print, through east coast indie rock, via midwest hip hop and through the medium itself. Not to harp on the now overwrought Marhall McCluhan quote book, but in our case, the medium is certainly as much of the message as the words in the book. I believe that will become obvious to anyone who reads “A History.”

If we can spread this message now, and if we can spread it well, maybe we can give someone a blueprint for how to save ourselves. Or if fortune is in our corner today, perhaps we can start that process ourselves.

The God Project is a speculative history, yes. But it is also a sincere warning. How does one stand in the path of a runaway freight train, arms akimbo, yelling STOP?

I don’t know. But it wouldn’t hurt to have a mob of people yelling along with me.
